How to use Valium?

ValiumValium comes in the form of a tablet, extended-release capsule, and liquid to be taken orally. Swallow the extended release capsules as a whole; do not chew, crush of open them. The frequency of consumption varies from one to four times a day with or without food. You should follow strictly the directions on your prescription label, and address your doctor or pharmacist any question concerning the use of Valium. Take Valium exactly as indicated.

Liquid Valium (concentrate) comes with a special dropper that is used for measuring the exact dose. Ask your pharmacist to demonstrate the use the dropper. Use water, juice, or carbonated beverages to dilute the concentrate for taking. The dose may also be mixed with applesauce or pudding.

Valium can form a habit. Follow the prescriptions and do not take Valium more often, for a longer time or in larger doses than you’re indicated. Long-term excessive use may develop a tolerance to Valium, making it ineffective. Regular consumption is the key to Valium effectiveness. Even if you feel you don’t need Valium, don’t skip the doses. Do not stop taking Valium, nor take it for more than 4 months — consult with your doctor first. A sudden stop in Valium consumption can cause withdrawal symptoms and worsen your condition.
